This photo is of Jamie training at Queens club at the start of 2005. Jamie's 2004 season was very long as he travelled to the Middle East for several futures events in December 2004. Jamie chose to take the whole of January off to work on his fitness and on his game and began his season in Croatia in mid-February.
In August 2005, Jamie took some time out from training to promote the new Scottish tennis training centre.

Jamie Baker serves duringthe1st set of his quarter-final match against Britain's Josh Goodall. Jamie took the 1st set 6-3, but Goodall hit back and won the next two sets 3-6, 3-6 to move into the semis. Spectators said that it was the match of the tournament, describing it as a titanic battle. Both players are big hitters and there were plenty of long rallies as both slugged it out from the baseline
Jamie Baker with team mates Andy Murray and Greg Rusedski during the first rubber of the Davis Cup tie against Switzerland in September 2005. Jamie was selected as a hitting partner. Although GB lost 5-0, Jamie gained valuable experience practising against Murray and Rusedski. The confidence he gained led to a successful series of results on the futures circuit in the autumn.
