Jamie reached the final, beating Matthew Ebden, Martin Van Haasteren, Raphael Durek and David Martin before losing to Greece's Konstantions Economdis 6-4, 6-0. This excellent run moved Jamie up into the top 300 for the first time in his career.

Jamie in action during his rd1 match against Britain's Richard Bloomfield in the Surbiton 25K+H grass court challenger. Jamie and Richard were both wildcard entries to the challenger. Richard's big serve proved the difference between the two players and he won 6-4, 7-5.

Jamie in action on his debut at Wimbledon against Italy's Andreas Seppi ranked over 200 places higher at no 62. Jamie put up a good performance and won the 2nd set on a tiebreak but Seppi's extra experience eventually told and he won in 4 sets:

Jamie was selected in the 4 man Davis Cup squad to play Ukraine away on clay in Odessa in September. Jamie was asked to be part of the team during the Bronx challenger and after the US Open he spent a week training with team coach Peter Lundgren and Jamie Delgado in Vienna before moving on to Odessa.
With Andy Murray beating Sergiy Stakhovsky on Sunday morning, GB took an unassailable 3-1 lead over the Ukraine and so Jamie was asked to play the 5th and final rubber against Sergei Bubka. Unfortunately he lost 6-3, 7-6[6], Jamie will be disappointed as he's beaten Bubka twice before
