US Open qualiesThe US Open qualies entry list has been announced [Grand Slam and Masters Series events have entry lists for the qualifying] and the news is not particularly good for Jamie. He's down at no 34 on the alternates list .
Jamie's chances of competing in New York look slim but not impossible. Last year there were enough withdrawals that players ranked in the 290s got into qualifying. Britain's Jonny Marray got in comfortably with a ranking of 280.

Hopefully Jamie stays in New York for that week just in case there's a chance of him making the qualies. Getting to play for the chance of making the US Open main draw would be a massive boost for him and there's also really excellent points and prize money on offer.
